As other strong and vivid colors like orange, yellow or green, purple is beautiful when used in home decoration but only in a really small amount to avoid a heavy look of the house. But do not worry, there are some tips to follow to get to a cool purple interior. You can use this special color in two ways. First, you can choose to paint you wall in purple and pick a fresh color like white for the furnishings and vary some other colors, according to your preference, for the rest of the decoration. Secondly, you can have your wall painted in white, light grey or light pink and add some purple items in the house to obtain a stunningly relaxing place.
There are different shades of purple but even if you choose the lightest or the darkest, the result would remain quite the same. Just know how to contrast it with the perfect matching colors. In the ancient times, purple or lavender was considered as a royal color. It was also a symbol of luxury, wisdom, elegance, class and even mistery. A purple touch in a room would bring some passion and intrigue into a house. The secret is to add some decorative items which are as classy and royal as this beautiful color. For example, antique Chinese items can be perfect for a room with purple as a theme, that combination would bring calm and smart look for the house. Finally, just know that the deepest purples reflect greatness and provide a serious appearence to a room.
To mitigate that effect, especially in the living room, mix it with light pink and avoid red and dark green. Paradoxically, red can go perfectly with purple for the dining room, especially if you have wooden furniture. This amazing color also symbolizes health, strength and security
