The story of ObjetsChinois began 4 years ago when the young entrepreneur Hadrien Recanati decided to mix his passion for Asian art and his studies.
"Since the age of three, my parents have always taken me in extraordinary adventures in Asia. From Nepal to Malaysia, Thailand to Borneo, Great Wall to Rinca in Indonesia, we visited some unusual places, met wonderful people, friendly and respectful. Understanding their mysterious religions, discovering breathtaking views, living their daily lives, isn't it amazing? " In 2007 after moving to Beijing, he founded his own company, convinced that the Chinese prefer exporting than importing, he decided to buy Chinese Items and resell them in Europe: crickets cages, pipes, Chinese ancestor portraits, statues in wood, jewelry etc ... By antiquing, he has woven a network of suppliers and broker who sell him original and unique pieces. The goal is not to negotiate large quantities but to find unique items with a soul and a story. Initially, the majority of the sales were made on Ebay, but the company Chinese Items quickly took shape. Hadrien decided to subcontract with a Belgium-Chinese company to create the website www.ObjetsChinois.com. This enabled him to limit sales on Ebay and prioritize Chinese-Items website. |  |
